We get a lot of requests for free samples, more than we can fulfill for free. Charging $500 for a real production coil, fully refundable against your first order, is how we tell apart the people who are serious about partnering with us from the ones just collecting samples. If you place a bulk order, you never actually paid for the sample. If you don't, you've still got 50 lbs of real coil to show for it.
